Step 2: On-Site Assessment & Measurement – Once you’ve got some ideas, our team will come out, usually within a few days, to take precise measurements of your kitchen and thoroughly inspect your subfloor. This step is crucial! We’ll check for any existing damage, moisture issues, or uneven spots that need addressing. We also confirm access, electrical outlets, and any specific requirements for your chosen material. This typically takes 1-2 hours.
Step 3: Preparation & Old Flooring Removal – This phase can take anywhere from a few hours to a full day, depending on the old flooring and the condition of the subfloor. We’ll carefully remove your existing flooring and properly dispose of it. Then, we prepare the subfloor, which might involve leveling, repairing, or adding a moisture barrier to ensure a perfect, long-lasting base for your new floors. This is vital for a smooth and durable finish.
Step 4: New Flooring Installation – This is where the magic happens! Depending on the material and kitchen size, installation can take 1-3 days.
